In what has to be the biggest non story ever, former Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder has a story to tell us.  It involves former teammate and Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams. Crowder was on WQAM radio in Miami Wednesday, and said that that Williams routinely smoked marijuana before games. “Remember that Buffalo game, the 200-yard game?” Crowder said.  “Smoked the night before.  Talk to Ricky.  He was doing it, that’s what he did.  Ricky has social anxiety and he smoked weed.  Ricky’s marijuana didn’t affect the team until he got caught smoking. . . . Him smoking weed, sitting at his house smoking weed, didn’t affect anybody but Ricky.  He got high and then he sobered up and then he went to practice the next day.” See I told you, non story. Who didn’t think Ricky got his Bob Marley on before games.

Dolphins debate: After QB, what position is smartest?

DAVIE, Fla. The last test most Miami Dolphins players took was the Wonderlic prior to entering the NFL draft. Maybe it's time for a new exam. There's a debate on the Dolphins as to what position features the smartest players. Perhaps this needs to be settled by a multiple-choice quiz. It all started when tight end Charles Clay spoke up for his group. Clay is expected to...

Ravens Injury Update: Jacoby Jones, Michael Oher

The Baltimore Ravens did a bird’s cage full of things wrong last night against the Denver Broncos, missed coach's challenge, stupid unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and costly dropped passes (one even for a sure touchdown).  The one thing the Ravens could not control were injures to two, key offensive players, Jacoby Jones and Michael Oher. Last night, Pro Bowl kick returner...

Matt Birk doesn't look ready for retirement

I can only imagine how hard it is to retire from the game you love after 15 years and have to watch the team you just left get demolished on the field. Matt Birk who went out on top following the Ravens’ Super Bowl XLVII win, seems ready to get back out there. Pretty funny stuff. Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

Ravens party more than doubles Orioles home game attendance

Now that the opening NFL game is in the books, the Baltimore Ravens may want to go back and ask the Baltimore Orioles why? Instead of the defending Super Bowl Champions opening up at home they were forced to travel to Denver. Instead of a celebration it turned into a debacle and to make matters worse, the Baltimore Orioles announced a crowd of only 17,383 at Camden Yards. In comparison...

Report: Ravens WR Jacoby Jones Out 4-6 Weeks

Pro Football Talk reports that the Ravens WR Jacoby Jones is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with an MCL sprained that he suffered during Thursday night’s opening loss to the Broncos. Jones was in the process of calling for a fair catch when rookie free agent S Brynden Trawick unknowingly ran right into him. Jones was able to limp off the field, but was clearly in pain. Marlon Brown...

Dolphins rookie Dion Jordan learning from Cameron Wake

If Dion Jordan is prancing around the Miami Dolphins locker room one day with his shirt off it will be known where he learned that from. Jordan the defensive end taken out of Oregon with the No. 3 pick in the draft is being tutored on a daily basis by All-Pro defensive end Cameron Wake. Dolphins coach Joe Philbin wanted his prized rookie to learn from the wise Wake so it was no...

Broncos loving another shot at Ravens

Ever since the NFL announced that the champion Ravens would open the season at Denver, the Broncos have been salivating over a chance to get back at Baltimore. That opportunity comes Thursday night in the Mile High City, where the Ravens staged that sensational late comeback in the divisional playoff game last January before beating the Broncos in double overtime. Anyone who says...

Tannehill vs. Weeden: A Matchup of Second-Year QBs

On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns will kick off the 2013 season against one another in Cleveland. Starting for both squads will be a second-year quarterback taken in the first round of last year's NFL Draft. While neither Ryan Tannehill nor Brandon Weeden had the type of rookie season in 2012 as say, Indianapolis' Andrew Luck, Washington's Robert Griffin...

Columbus Dispatch mixes up John Elway and Peyton Manning

The editor at the Columbus Dispatch obviously was asleep at the wheel when they were going through this article talking about the Denver Broncos-Baltimore Ravens game.  The title of the article said “Elway Throws For Seven Touchdown passes” and the first two words of the article are “Peyton Manning.”  Then the next paragraph starts with “Elway” and the following one...
