Found April 25, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Chargers have claimed former Packers LB D.J. Smith off of waivers. Green Bay surprisingly waived Smith on Wednesday, with the move being listed as a failed physical. A source told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the move was likely to create an additional roster spot for their draft class and undrafted free agents. Last year, Smith suffered a serious knee injury, which was expected to hold him out of the upcoming training camp. San Diego could use some help at inside linebacker, so it’s not surprising to see them take a chance on a guy who was actually a starter for the Packers last season.   The post Chargers Claim Former Packers LB D.J.
