Jackie Battle started for the Chargers against the Chiefs on Sunday and was getting a majority of the early work. Battle got six of the Chargers first seven rushing attempts as they built a 17-0 lead — and Battle scored a touchdown.
San Diego general manager A.J. Smith threatened to send Ryan Mathews packing over his fumbling problems, telling the San Diego Union-Tribune he could "be somebody else's fumbler."
The Chargers did follow through with their threat and benched Mathews against the Chiefs. WhileBattle played pretty well when Mathews was out early this season with a broken clavicle, the San Diego offense is not going to be as good with Mathews is nailed to the bench.

I got paid Juan, I’m not arguing…
Robert Meachem was touted as a #1 WR by the Chargers this offseason when the brought him in as a free agent this offseason. The problem is that he is not a #1 WR. Even with Philip Rivers slingin’ it, Meachem can’t get it going.

Week 4 fantasy advice: Ryan Mathews set to bounce back and quiet his GM against division rivals in Kansas City
Week 4 is interesting, as it is really the first week where we can start to assume that some of the things we are seeing from fantasy defenses are an indicator of the team’s relative strength on each side of the ball, as opposed to just 1 week blips. With that in mind, I’m answering [...]
