Melvin Ingram suffered what Coach Norv Turner termed "a deep thigh bruise" in Friday night's win over the Minnesota Vikings.
The San Diego Chargers first-round pick was on the field for several minutes being tended to for the injury and had to be assisted to the sideline, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. However, Turner indicated the injury is not believed to be serious.
The Chargers have had more than their share of serious injuries last year, and lost running back Ryan Mathews in the preseason opener this year. Fortunately for them, they appear to have dodged a bullet with Ingram.
