Yesterday, the Chargers announced their final cut down to a 53 man roster. With the cuts, many good players had to be cut to make room for the best team moving forward. This part of the year is never an easy thing and many Twitter users were having a hard time letting go of some good men.

Some veterans contracts that had to be terminated to make room on the roster include, Jacques Cesaire, Anthony Davis, Mario Henderson, Jacob Hester and Nick Novak. All players that you don't want to have to wave goodbye to.

Jacob Hester was the most upset last night for Charger fans. Especially after just signing a new contract that he, his family, and fans were all excited for. He had one heck of a preseason as well. We all wish him the best of luck moving forward.

With the contract termination of Nick Novak, kicker Nate Kaeding officially has his job back.

The release of Mario Henderson raised many eyebrows around the Bolt nation, we will look for more on the O-line situation as it comes forth. But the Chargers will most likely look for help on the O-line through trade or free agency.

In addition, younger players that were looking to make an impact were also cut. Those included are,  Edwin Baker, Colin Baxter, Bront Bird, Charlie Bryant, Ricky Elmore, Daryl Gamble, Gregory Gatson, Logan Harrell, Arthur Hobbs, Jarrett Lee, Robert Malone, DeAndre Presley, Damik Scafe, Stephen Schilling, Kory Sperry and Mike Willie.

The most surprising cut out of the younger guys to me has got to be Jarrett Lee, he had been taking reps at number two for a long time, had worked hard all training camp and preseason. Norv Turner had even said that the team wanted to have three QB's going into the season. But as of now, that will be the least of their worries.

However saddening all these cuts may be, it should give a glimmer of hope to the fans. Because we can say goodbye to these talented players, means that we have a very talented and competitive team. As an organization, you want to have competition at every position to bring the very best players out on the final 53 man roster, which is what this team definitively has.

All the best to the waived players and their future teams. Thank you for your work with the team.
