Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune writes that LT Jared Gaither‘s chances of return for another season with the San Diego Chargers are slim at best. According to Acee; “Jared Gaither will not be back. He can’t be.“ Acee adds that “virtually everyone in the organization” believes Gaither “pretend he was more hurt than he was.” “I can’t even look him in the eye,” and “—-ing Gaither. He —-ing cost us big-time.” were responses given to Acee by two veteran players this season. Many in the locker room gave Gaither the benefit of the doubt while he was dealing with his “injuries,” but by the end of the season everyone was apparently questioning his commitment to the team. The Chargers wound up placing Gaither on season-ending injured reserve. San Diego would take a $6 million cap hit by releasing Gaither; however the feeling is that this would be a better move than to risk owing him $4.5 million if he’s on the roster at the start of the next season.   The post Charger

NFL insider Jason La Canfora reports that the San Diego Chargers are interested in Mike Holmgren for their vacant head coaching job. “Mutual Interest” Between The Chargers & Bruce Arians?

Michael Gehlken of the Union-Tribune San Diego writes that there appears to be “mutual interest” between the Chargers and Colts OC Bruce Arians. This probably isn’t all that shocking given that Arians has been linked to the Chargers for weeks now, but the Colts would obviously like to keep Arians aboard instead of hiring a new coordinator for 2013. The Chargers will meet...

Ryan Mathews Press Pass "Saturday Signatures" On-Card Fresno State Auto.

I picked up my first Ryan Mathews autograph some time ago, and got it for a pretty good price. On-card sealed the deal, and I really dig the simple design.Don't ask me how that says anything close to Ryan Mathews. Eventually I want to add an auto that features him in a Chargers' uniform. For now though, this will more than hold me over. If he could just stay healthy....
