San Diego Chargers defensive end Luis Castillo has been placed on injured reserve, Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Castillo suffered a broken tibia on a play that had been blown dead in the season-opening win over the Minnesota Vikings. Castillo had one tackle prior to his injury. In 82 career games, Castillo has 210 tackles, 19 quarterback sacks and two interceptions. Castillo, 28, is signed through the 2014 season.
