The Chargers have made two additions to address the injury issues that came up Sunday.

On the defensive line they picked up Ogemdi Nwagbuo who has history with the team. He played in 37 games over the last two seasons and was with the team through the preseason. He put up 26 total tackles and recovered one fumble in regular season action. Luis Castillo had surgery and has not been placed on injured reserve at this point leaving the door open for a 2011 return.

Nate Kaeding, however, was placed on season ending injured reserve. To take his spot the Chargers signed Nick Novak who has also been with the team before. He backed up Kaeding last year in the preseason but did not make the final team. He was with the Jets this preseason, and last played in a regular season for the Florida Tuskers of the UFL. His UFL numbers contrast sharply with his NFL numbers. He was 15 of 18 for the Tuskers and set the league record with a 54 yarder. He set another UFL record with four field goals in one game. He is 19 of 30 in NFL regular season action. The Chargers also had former Steeler standout Jeff Reed in for a tryout but ultimately went with the familiar face.
