The San Diego Chargers are interested in speaking with
former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith about their own coaching vacancy
following the firing of Norv Turner, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Beyond
Smith, the Chargers are also reportedly interested in Indianapolis Colts
offensive coordinator Bruce Arians.

It wasn’t that long ago that Lovie Smith took the Bears to
the Super Bowl, and Chicago was once again poised to make the postseason this
year. However, late-season struggles led to another missed opportunity, and the
Bears ultimately decided to part ways with their veteran coach.
Arians, on the other hand, is coming off a promising campaign
with the Colts. He entered the year as the team’s offensive coordinator, but he
took over the reigns as Indianapolis’ interim head coach. The Colts are
playoff-bound, and Arians figures to be a hot commodity this offseason.
