The San Diego Chargers signed former Houston Texans linebacker Kevin Bentley to a one-year deal. Bentley is a former backup who was acquired just in case the Chargers place Stephen Cooper on injured reserve with a torn biceps. "I don't think it'll be hard to adjust to the defense," Bentley told San Diego reporters. "I've run a little 3-4 in college, but there will be some differences to what I'm used to. That said, it's still football and it's still about pursuit and tackling. Hopefully, they see what they need to see in 10 days and I can stick. "There is opportunity on defense, but I love special teams. I don't care where I play, as long as I can get out there. That's been my niche in Houston, and I can do that again here."
