Running back Ronnie Brown signed a one-year deal with San Diego, where he will serve as the primary backup to Ryan Mathews. Brown, the second overall pick in 2005 by the Miami Dolphins, spent last season with the Eagles, finishing with just 136 yards and one touchdown. The Chargers were seeking a veteran backup after Mike Tolbert signed with Carolina in free agency. Brown, 30, has played 92 career games, with his only 1,000-yard rushing season coming in 2006.

Brown was nothing more than a partial handcuff to LeSean McCoy last season, so there shouldnt be any concerns about him stealing carries from Ryan Mathews.
Coming off of a disappointing 5-6 season last year, the Oxford Chargers feel like they have a lot to prove this year. The Chargers are being lead on the defensive side of the ball by talented defensive end Xavier Pegues (6'3” 230lbs). Pegues racked up 71 total tackles and 2.5 sacks last year and hopes to put up even better numbers this year.
