The San Diego Chargers held Antonio Gates out of practice Thursday, a day after the injured tight end participated on a limited basis.A lingering foot injury has limited Gates to just two games so far this season, and will likely leave him a game-time decision at best for Sunday's encounter with the New York Jets.Gates returned to practice Wednesday and "looked as good as he always does," according to quarterback Philip Rivers.Gates, a perennial Pro Bowler, has eight catches for 74 yards to date.
