NFL Trade Rumors:
Michael Gehlken of the U-T San Diego reports that Chargers WR Malcom Floyd was carted off the practice field on Monday with what appears to be a right knee injury.
Gehlken added that it “does not look good” as Floyd was on the ground and receiving treatment for “several minutes.”
San Diego has already lost Danario Alexander for the season after he torn his ACL last week. The Chargers have Floyd penciled in as the No. 1 receiver on their most recent depth chart. Eddie Royal is listed as their No. 2 receiver, but it appears as though third-round pick Keenan Allen is in a great position to take on a pretty large for them this season.
There was talk that Robert Meachem could be on the chopping block, but depending on the severity of Floyd’s injury, Meachem’s roster spot could be saved.
We’ll have more as the news is available.

The San Diego Chargers were hoping they'd found a suitable wide out to bolster their group of receivers when they acquired Robert Meachum last year.
