The Rap Sheet:
Patriots WR Julian Edelman will no doubt be breathing a sigh of relief when practice ends. That’s when he’ll likely find out that Suffolk County prosecutors will be dropping the groping charges against him for an incident that occurred on Halloween.
This almost certainly means the NFL won’t be suspending him, which is nice for the Patriots.
The key part of the decision comes from the release sent out by a Suffolk County DA, stating, “a review of both witness statements and video surveillance has revealed that the Commonwealth would be unable to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant intentionally engaged in a harmful or offensive touching of the complainant…”
Here is the official release:

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office has dropped the criminal charges against New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman. The DA says he would have a hard time proving the charges beyond a reasonable doubt.

FOXBORO, Mass. -- The Patriots' jack of all trades caught Tebowmania this week, as wide receiver Julian Edelman ran the option offense this week for the scout team in anticipation of Sunday's game against the Broncos. Edelman wasn't the only player they used on the scout team. Quarterback Ryan Mallett got some work there in his usual capacity, but Edelman was the primary...
FOX 25′s Kristine Leahy had a live interview on TV with Patriots players Julian Edelman and Zoltan Mesko at an annual event put on by Robert Kraft’s team at Gillette Stadium in which kids actually get to wrap up their favorite players. We did’t realize that “Wrap-A-Pat” was happening, or we would have loved to have been a fly on the wall there. The fun started as soon...

Patriots safety Patrick Chung is listed on the team’s injury report as “doubtful,” which means there isn’t much of a chance he’ll play on Sunday against the Broncos. But there is an even better way to know that he won’t play.
According to eyes on the scene during the Celtics scrimmage (including WEEI.com), Chung is in the front row watching. The team left for Denver this...
