Is Calvin Johnson the NFL’s LeBron James? Bears corner back Charles Tillman compared the two today (Credit: AP Photo) The Chicago Bears have been doing a lot of talking before this weekend’s match up with the Detroit Lions. Yesterday, defensive tackle Henry Melton said he expects dirty play from the Lions. Today, safety Major Wright criticized quarterback Matthew Stafford for folding under pressure. Despite the negative comments over the last two days, corner back Charles Tillman had something nice to say about the Detroit Lions. After considering who he was going to match up against, Tillman compared wide receiver Calvin Johnson to LeBron James. “He can do everything,” Tillman told the Chicago Tribune. “He’s the LeBron James of football. If you could create a player — that’s Calvin Johnson. Size, speed, hands, agility, quickness, strength.” After holding Johnson to 34 yards on 3 catches during their week seven meeting, Tillman says he is not sure if the team will be able to shut down Johnson again this week. “It would be cool if we did, but I don’t know how.” I thought Tillman was going to compare Johnson to LeBron for the lack of winning games. Just as LeBron used to be the best player in the NBA without a championship, Calvin Johnson is one of the best in the NFL without a championship. The Chicago Bears will be playing for a spot in the playoffs this Sunday as they take on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.   The post Charles Tillman compares Calvin Johnson to LeBron James appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE.
