Free agency quarterback Charlie Batch told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that he’s not ready to retire just yet. “I’m not closing the door,” the former Steel Valley High star said. “I’m open to whatever is out there for me.” Batch says he wouldn’t working in an NFL front office. “I’d definitely be open to (Steelers GM) Kevin Colbert teaching me his job,” Batch said. After drafting Landry Jones last month, I can’t imagine the Steelers bringing back Batch who’s currently 38 years-old.  It might time for him to pursue his a new career. Need NFL Tickets? Report: Steelers S Troy Polamalu In Best Shape Since USC Playing Days

On Sunday, I passed along the news that Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu would be in attendance for the first OTA session of the 2013 season that gets underway on Tuesday and now there is a report on Twitter from Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that states the 2010 Defensive Player of the Year is in the best shape that he has been in since his playing days at...

Steelers RB Isaac Redman Says Locker Room Just Wasn’t The Same Last Season

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman was a guest Monday morning on 93.7 The Fan and he talked about his off-season, the upcoming OTA session and several other team related topics in addition. With the Steelers drafting Michigan State running back Le'Veon Bell in the second round last month in addition to adding free agent running back LaRod Stephens-Howling to the...

Mike Wallace is not an athlete but he plays one on TV

You can make the sour grapes argument; I will eat that. But also realize that what I say is accurate enough to make such bold proclamations, and that I hold the young Dolphin accountable for self-serving behavior while playing a on a team, in a team sport. I have zero respect for any athlete who gives up on a play, fizzles a route, takes a play off, or drops an assignment on purpose...

Pittsburgh Steelers Offensive Line Preparing for a Better Year in 2013

The Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line has been one of the biggest weak points on the team over the past few years. Injuries and inconsistent play have taken a toll not only on the line, but on the offense as a whole. Over the past three years the Steelers run game has continued to drop in production. That number could be targeted at the offensive line’s play over the past few...

Several Things To Look For During The Steelers First OTA Session Of 2013

The first OTA session of the 2013 off-season for the Pittsburgh Steelers will get underway on Tuesday, and while we aren't likely to learn a lot from it, there will be a few things I will be looking for specifically in the reports from the media. Tackle Sides - Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was pretty much non-committal about who will play what tackle spot when he talked to...

Recent Pittsburgh Steelers History Says Reggie Dunn Has a Shot at Making the Roster

So far the most talked about player heading into off-season workouts and training camp for the Pittsburgh Steelers is not a second or third year player, or a draft pick, but an undrafted rookie free agent. Reggie Dunn played three years for the Utah Utes and became one of the best return men in the country. He was so well known for his return skills that teams kicked away from him...

Will Larry Foote's anger add fuel or fizzle to the Pittsburgh Steelers?

Larry Foote’s ire is up. He said as much himself, and he told Pittsburgh’s 93.7 The Fan back in March he doesn’t buy into the locker room turmoil stating, ”That was never an issue. I think that was overblown by the media” then concluding, ”We’ve always been a tight-knit family, and we’re going to remain that way.” I wouldn’t expect Foote to go to...

Steelers Set To Open First OTA Session Of 2013 Minus 15 Players From 2012

Change is inevitable in the NFL as there is turnover on rosters each and every year. When the Pittsburgh Steelers first OTA of the 2013 off-season gets underway on Tuesday, they will be short 15 players from last season. Of those 15 players, seven of them were perceived as starters with the offense losing four and the defense losing three. Those 7 players logged 6,666 total plays...

Josh Alper of Profootballtalk.com writes: ‘Williams wasn’t invited to...

Photo: Worst Steelers tattoo of all-time?

Tattoos are often hit or miss. Some turn out great, while others turn out, well, like the one you see above.Seen here is arguably the worst Pittsburgh Steelers tattoo of all-time. It could be the worst of all-time because the circular outline is noticeably imperfect, or it could be because the fan initially forgot how to spell Steelers, only to squeeze in an extra "e" after...
