The Chicago Bears (3-1) played very poorly the past two games on offense, and Jay Cutler was the center of attention heading into Monday night. The defense was expected to play great, and that they did, but the offense was full of question marks.

Matt Forte was a game-time decision (he played), the offensive line couldn't stop anyone (they allowed just two sacks) and Cutler couldn't complete a pass (he went 18 of 24 for 275 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions).

But the spectacular play of the defense—or the poor performance of Tony Romo—is going to outweigh what the offense did, and rightfully so.

The defense forced five turnovers (all interceptions) and two of them were returned for touchdowns.

The Bears beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-18, in a game that was over midway through the third quarter following Lance Briggs' interception of Romo's underhand pass. Briggs returned it 74 yards for the score, putting Chicago up 24-7.

To add insult to injury, Cutler hit a wide open Brandon Marshall for a 31-yard score midway through the fourth, putting Chicago up 34-10.

The Cowboys (2-2) were embarrassed in their own stadium on national television, which will raise questions all throughout the week. Between Dez Bryant not running the right routes, other receivers dropping passes or poor decision making by Romo, Dallas' offense will be in question. The only bright spot was Jason Witten as he hauled in 13 passes for more than 100 yards and a score, albeit about 50 yards and the score came in garbage time.

And remember how Devin Hester was upset with his role in the offense, he should be quiet for a while after catching a 34-yard touchdown from Cutler.

There were no complaints tonight for Bears' fans as they made Dallas look silly in front of a national audience.

Stay with Bears 101 as we further break down the game tomorrow.
