The excuses are there. Starting running back Matt Forte has missed one full game and two half games with injury. The offensive line is one of the most inadequate lines in the league. They also lost arguably their best lineman for the season two weeks ago. Rookie wide out Alshon Jeffery, who was suppose to prevent go-to guy Brandon Marshall from seeing double teams, has missed more games than he’s played.Jay Cutler missed a game and a half -- against two of the top teams in the league albeit -- with a concussion. And now face of the franchise and captain of the defense, Brian Urlacher (hamstring), is out for the foreseeable future. Some are even saying the future Hall of Famer could have played his last game in a Bears uniform.Only time will tell if that is true. The good news? Well there is still four games left in the regular season and the Bears have a firm grip on one of the last two playoff spots. It gets better. The Bears also control their own destiny. The team currently sits at...

It would be hard to see Brian Urlacher in another uniform other than the Chicago Bears. However, the All-Pro linebacker isn’t sure if Chicago will resign him. If not, Urlacher says he would be sad, but not crushed.
“I do not think that’s going to happen,” Urlacher told FOX 32 News in Chicago. “But, if it does, I have had a really good and long career so I would be sad...
Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher is being fined for the second time in two weeks for horse collar tackles. Urlacher was penalized $15,750 just a week ago for his horse collar take down of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
This time, Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune has reported that Urlacher is being fined $21,000 for taking down Seattle Seahawks RB Leon...
While the Chicago Bears have ruled linebacker Brian
Urlacher, cornerback Tim Jennings and wide receiver Earl Bennett out this
weekend against the Minnesota Vikings, they are expecting to have wide
receivers Devin Hester and Alshon Jeffery return to their lineup.
Devin Hester and Alshon Jeffery will both be available Sunday, per Lovie Smith.

Last NFL season I began writing my “Jay Cutler Dominates” column. Of all my three years on MSF it’s been the column I’ve most enjoyed writing.
I like making people laugh, and one of my favorite means of doing that is through satire. Satire is a lot of fun because, if done right, you can get people to not even realize they’re being duped. I love that.
When I was writing...
The Chicago Bears' defense is finding it difficult to close out games and showing signs of some real wear and tear.
Playing without injured linebacker Brian Urlacher and with several other lineup changes, the Bears will have to find a way to turn it around Sunday against a Minnesota Vikings offense that can run opponents into the ground behind Adrian Peterson. A win would also...
Bears wideout Earl Bennett, whosuffered a concussion Sunday against the Seahawks, has been ruled out for Week 14, according to the Bears website.Fantasy Spin:Bennett has recorded just 23 receptions for 250 and one TD this season. Owned in less than five percent of all leagues his absence won't cause much of a problem.
Chicago Bears MLB Brian Urlacher was slapped with a $21,000 fine, his second in consecutive weeks by the NFL for a horse-collar tackle during the Bears 23-17 overtime loss to Seattle. The fine was levied after Urlacher tackled Seahawks running back Leon Washington. Last week, the league fined Urlacher $15,750 for a tackle on Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson. Urlacher plans to appeal...
Kelvin Hayden will get the start at cornerback in place for injured Tim Jennings when the Chicago Bears travel to Minnesota Sunday to face the Vikings. Jennings was hurt late in the Bears overtime loss to Seattle. In his place steps the veteran Hayden, who has played the nickel back role for much of the season. Hayden’s experienced in the [...]

When the Chicago Bears (8-4) and Minnesota Vikings (6-6) meet in the Metrodome on Sunday afternoon, it will be the second time in three weeks that these two teams have faced off. In the Thanksgiving weekend matchup between the two teams Chicago walked out of Soldier Field with a 28-10 victory. However, this will be a much different Bears team that faced the Vikings two weeks ago...
Faced with maintaining playoff positioning and hoping to snap a recent string of disappointing December performances, the Chicago Bears head north for a key divisional battle with Minnesota. The two rivals are familiar with one another, as the Bears handled the Vikes 28-10 two weeks ago at Soldier Field. Minnesota has lost two straight, while the Bears are fresh from [...]
