Alshon Jeffery shocked the world this year, but I think that another wide receiver for the Chicago Bears has a bright future and his name is Marquess Wilson. The Chicago Bears have struck gold with the record setting duo of Brandon Marshall and the before mentioned Jeffery.  The epic pair tore up-and-down the field and became a threat on every offensive level. With Jeffery rushing for an average of 6.6 yards and Marshall making powerful blocks during key plays they are possibly the two most versatile wide receivers in the NFL. With Earl Bennett seeming to be the prototype versatile receiver for the Chicago Bears, and Martellus Bennett becoming a prolific tight end, it would seem that the Chicago Bears don’t need any more offensive weapons. However, it doesn’t seem like Marc Trestman and GM Phil Emery are satisfied with just an amazing offense. Enter Chicago Bears Marquess Wilson Don’t let the fact that he only caught one pass for 10 yards in 2013 mislead you. Marquess recorded school records at Washington State for the most 100 yard games (14), receiving yards (3,207), as well as finishing second in WSU history in receptions (189) and receiving touchdowns (23). Wilson was named an All-American twice, and the kid put together an impressive college career. VIDEO: JMissCelts2034536 Going in the seventh round during the draft may have had something to do with with how he left his collegiate career. With reports of abuse in the form of belittling and humiliation the star receiver walked-off of the practice field never to return again. Marc Trestman, on the other hand, is excited at the prospect and doesn’t see his speaking out against his coaches or walking away from the team as a deal breaker. “He’s come to the right place. He’s come to a locker room where we have players and coaches that will set him straight right from the beginning and get him going the right direction. It’s an exciting opportunity for us to grow a young man, to allow him to mature off the field as well as on it and the upside as a talent, we’re very excited about it.” -ChicagoBears.com Of course it seems that the Chicago Bears receiving core can almost never be mentioned without bringing height into the picture. At 6’4 and 184 lbs, Marquess Wilson stands tall with the Chicago Bear’s Monsters of the Midway. With speed to match, allowing him to get down the field, Marquess Wilson has the makings of another powerful offensive weapon for the Chicago Bears. Also, I know that I didn’t mention Matt Forte at all. But, I believe that Forte deserves way more than a mention in an article to describe his overall role and contributions in the Chicago Bears offense. _________ PHOTO: SportsWunderkind The post Chicago Bears Marquess Wilson Has Bright Future appeared first on Sports Mockery.
