Gabe Carimi has been a huge bust with the Chicago Bears. There’s no denying that. The “Jew Bear,” I’m not kidding that is his nickname, has stood out as a horrible offensive lineman; even amidst a really bad O Line. Multiple reports are saying Carimi and the Bears will soon part ways. The Atlanta Falcons seem to be a possible landing spot. Carimi was drafted by the Bears in the first round, 29th overall pick, of the 2011 NFL Draft. He began the 2011 season as the Bears’ starting right tackle. As a senior with the Wisconsin Badgers, Carimi won the 2010 Outland Trophy, awarded to the nation’s top collegiate interior lineman. The Atlanta Falcons seem to be a very likely landing point for Carimi. According to Scott Carasik, of Draft Falcons, Carimi is who the Falcons were targeting in the absence of a Julio Jones trade. If Carimi comes in, gets healthy like Baker needed to, then the Falcons could use him at Right Guard or Right Tackle effectively. So if Carimi is leaving the Bears, the Falcons could be a likely landing point. Paul M. Banks is the owner of The Sports Bank.net.
