Chicago Bears Safety Jaquan Brisker After Week 18 Loss: ‘They Have No Stars Over There’
Dan Powers/USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin / USA TODAY NETWORK

Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker had words for the Green Bay Packers wide receivers after a 19-7 loss to send the Packers to the playoffs.

This loss to the Packers marks the 10th straight for the Bears against their division rival. The last time the Bears won was in 2018 when they split the season series with the Packers after a 24-17 victory and a 24-23 loss.

The 17-9 loss was the closest loss since the Bears fell to the Packers 10-3 in 2019. This year’s series was the first with quarterback Jordan Love at the helm for the Packers, who is a part of the youngest team to make the playoffs in NFL history.

Green Bay Packers wide receivers had elite performances despite Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker having “no respect”

The Green Bay Packers had six receivers with three or more receptions in their win against the Bears. Wide receiver Jayden Reed led the way with the most receiving yards as he accrued 112 on the day. This was the most yards Reed has ever had in his short NFL career.

Wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks accrued the most receptions on the day with six. Wicks also led the team with two receiving touchdowns. One of which snuck right by Bears safety Jaquan Brisker. Wicks had never had more than one touchdown in a game before his week 18 performance against the Bears.

Quarterback Jordan Love had one of the best days of his career as he only had five incompletions on over 300 yards passing. Love’s 316 yards passing was the second most he’s had in his career, and his 84.4% completion rate was a career-high.

Not only was this matchup home to one of Jordan Love’s best game, but two packers receivers had career games. Wide receiver Bo Melton amassed five receptions in a game for just the second time in his career.

Green Bay Packers players responded to Chicago Bears Safety Jaquan Brisker’s comments

Green Bay Packers players had responses for Brisker after reading his comments on social media. One response came from running back Aaron Jones, who has been lights out in the past three games for the Packers.

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft responded by laughing after his three reception 31 yard performance against the Bears.

Brisker has just one pass defended in the two games against the Packers this season. His single interception came against the Minnesota Vikings in late November. In an article from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Brisker also added that the Packers were playing dirty.

“Just doing extra stuff after the play, grabbing people’s face masks after the play and things like that. Just doing a lot of dirty stuff to get us flagged and stuff like that,” Brisker said.

The Green Bay Packers will take on the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas for the first round of the playoffs. The Chicago Bears have an uncertain future as decisions regarding their coaching staff and starting quarterback have yet to be made.
