In a nail-biting end to the first half, it was a grueling scramble to catch smoke. Neither team could keep a grip on the ball, and, at any given time, it was almost impossible to tell who had control.
When Julius Peppers returned from his short rest on the bench after he strained his knee, it seemed as though Chaos took the field. The ball switched hands 4 times and resulted in each team scoring to finish off the half 17-10 in the Bears favor.
WIth barely two minutes remaining in the first half, Cutler gifted the Eagles with an interception that resulted in a tying touchdown. The Eagles, in return, fumbled their kick-return and penalties called on the defense allowed Cutler three shots at a touchdown, which he gladly obliged.
