Chicks in the Huddle:
We’ve hit the sweet spot of the NFL playoffs. The divisional round separates the Super Bowl contenders from the pretenders. It’s where heartbreak happens, where legends are made and where players and fans with chips on their shoulders finally get a shot to prove the naysayers wrong.
This week’s Chick Fight features fans of two teams that are no stranger to this stage of the quest for Super Bowl glory. In fact, both of their teams made it to this round just last year. So you know their fans are hungry to get over the hump and ease on down the road to the big dance in the Big Easy.
Team Packers: Rebecca Buer (Atlanta, GA)
Why she loves her team so much: When you are born and raised in Milwaukee, two things are certain: You will love the Packers with everything inside of you and you’ll be the only person you know outside of Milwaukee who is disappointed when a bar doesn’t serve Miller Lite.
Game day rituals? There are certain other out-of-state cheeseheads who I just have to te...
BEST OF MAXIM
Just like that, the Packers' season is over. After a win in the opening week of the playoffs, Green Bay's road to the Super Bowl was potentially lining up just as it did two years ago. This time, however, the Packers were unable to string together any victories on the road, with the team now looking for offseason answers for the second year in a row after a divisional round...
Green Bay halfback James Starks is questionable for Saturday's game in San Francisco. Starks has missed the Packers' last five games with a knee bruise.Fantasy Spin:DuJuan Harris has been getting most of the reps at halfback in Starks' absence. We don't think either player will be a factor Saturday against the 49ers' fourth-ranked run defense.
The Green Bay Packers could have filled an entire highlight reel with their interceptions last year.
Good thing, because the rest of their defense wasn't worth watching.
A year after finishing with the NFL's worst defense, the Packers have traded the excitement of those big turnovers for consistency. And the change could be the difference between another early exit from...
Laura Kaeppeler was named Miss America 2012, entering the pageant at Miss Wisconsin. Therefore, you can put aside your stereotypes about fat people in Wisconsin; at least for a year. Tonight she relinquishes her crown. And as you might expect, she’s a Green Bay Packers fan.
Kaeppler introduced herself on the evening of her 2012 crowning moment by mentioning the NFL’s defending...
2012 Miss America, and Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler relinquished her crown tonight. You remember her as the pageant contestant who mentioned the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers in her acceptance speech. Well, her era ended on the same night Rodgers and the Pack were eliminated from the NFL playoffs.
Tonight the San Francisco 49ers and A 23-year-old Brooklyn native Mallory Hagan...
The Packers' defense made leaps-and-bounds improvements after setting records (good and bad) in 2011. They did it even while missing Charles Woodson, Clay Matthews and C.J. Wilson for large chunks of the season.
This evening’s divisional playoff game features the Green Bay Packers taking on the San Francisco 49ers. Weather will not play a role in tonight’s contest. Afternoon high temperatures of the low 50′s under sunny skies will give way to a clear night with temperatures in the mid-40′s. This playoff game will be one of three in the divisional round which features a rematch of...
Colin Kaepernick repeatedly raced past the Green Bay defense on option runs. Frank Gore barreled over the Packers on more traditional plays.
A week after holding 2,000-yard rusher Adrian Peterson in check, the Packers were run over by the San Francisco 49ers and sent home from the playoffs with a 45-31 loss Saturday night.
The Packers (12-6) came into the game brimming with confidence...
Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers and Packers both have great championship traditions but only one can move onto the NFC Championship. The 49ers come into the game as the favorites and enjoy the home-field advantage, but also have to face the healthiest version of the Green Bay Packers since the first day of the season. Charles Woodson, Clay Matthews, and Donald...

This could very well be one of the finer divisional weekends in NFL history depending on how the NFC matchups end up, and this game tops them all.
San Francisco and Green Bay are two of the more prestigious franchises in the NFL, and they have had several thrilling finishes in the postseason.
One that comes to mind would be the game where Jerry Rice fumbled and...
