Derrick Johnson has greatly improved his play on the football field and the Kansas City Chiefs have greatly improved his contract.

The Kansas City Chiefs and starting ILB Derrick Johnson have agreed to terms on a five-year contract extension worth just over $34 million with $15 million guaranteed, FOXSports.com has learned.
Johnson, who would have become an unrestricted free-agent next year, was playing on a one-year restricted free-agent tender worth $2.475 million, which he signed in March.
This is a great move by the Chiefs.
