Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Brad Childress was in
Kansas City yesterday, where he could potentially be hired by the Chiefs as
either the team’s offensive coordinator or as an advisor to new head coach Andy
Reid, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Later in the day it was reported that Childress isn’t
expected to be hired on as the Chiefs’ new offensive coordinator, but there
seems to be a chance he could eventually be reunited with Reid as some sort of
advisor. The duo spent several seasons together in Philadelphia as coaches for
the Eagles before Childress became the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.
Childress was the offensive coordinator in Cleveland this
past season, but he didn’t call the plays for the team. That duty was handled
by recently fired head coach Pat Shurmur. The Browns finished 25th
in the NFL in offense in 2012.
