Pro Football Zone:
Eagles backup QB Nick Foles brought back the Eagles to beat the Giants today and looked pretty darn good doing so. Foles certainly played well enough to win and many were left wondering if a QB controversy was in the works. Chip Kelly put a resounding end to those thoughts.
“No,” Kelly said, when asked if the starting quarterback job is up for grabs after Foles threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns and helped the Eagles rally from a third-quarter deficit…
…“No matter where you are in this league, you better make sure you have two quarterbacks,” Kelly said. “That’s just the nature of this league. We are fortunate that we do.”-CSNPhilly.com
The offense did seem to move the ball better with Foles in the lineup but Vick is a good experienced starter that Chip Kelly believes gives the Eagles the best chance to win. With as injury prone as Vick is it is great to have 2 QBs that can get the job done.
Vick said that he “head a pop” in his hamstring and his status against the Bucs next week is in doubt, but as soon as he is healthy enough to play he will be back in the starting lineup Kelly insisted.

Michael Vick isn’t an expendable piece of the Philadelphia Eagles’ puzzle – yet. With a great performance by Nick Foles on Sunday, Vick may be on his way out of Philadelphia. The Eagles haven’t exactly been a success story with their new-look offense this season. The team has moved the ball, often very effectively, but points have been tougher to come by, and Michael Vick’s...
