The Chip Kelly Bachelor Episode was thought to be over with Jimmy Haslam’s Cleveland Browns thought to be the last franchise left with a rose, with the final details of the contract being hammered out as we speak.
But as Lee Corso loves to say, “Not so fast, my friend!” Turns out the Bills are gonna get one last chance to blow Kelly’s socks off (isn’t it usually the other way around?), and will meet with the Fiesta Bowl winner later tonight.
I’m not really sure why Kelly would have picked the Browns first (organizational control?) but for all you who pine for Kelly (myself included), this is a ray of hope that the Bills can conjure up some of the same magic that convinced the top defensive free agent of 2012 to sign in Buffalo. I would imagine CJ Spiller has to interest Kelly on some level. Or maybe he’s just using the Bills for leverage.
Either way, I have to imagine I’m not the only one who was impressed with the Bowl game last night, so they’re still some fun to be had with Bills Coach Search 2013: Kelly Edition.
