Well deserved eh? RT @brian_mcintyre: RT @rliunfl: NFC Defensive Player of Week 3: #Seahawks DE Chris Clemons— Q Smith (@NWSBQ) September 26, 2012

Chris Clemons has bagged another one.
Not another sack, but his four-sack explosion in the second quarter of the Seahawks’ victory over the Packers on Monday night has earned Clemons NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
“I don’t know how a guy gets four sacks in one half,” coach Pete Carroll said after the game. “A tremendous job by those guys – and the two edge guys rushing, they feed off one another.”
The other edge guy is rookie Bruce Irvin, who had two sacks in the first quarter. Nose tackle Brandon Mebane added two more, giving the Seahawks eight sacks of Aaron Rodgers in the first half.
“I know that Bruce got started first and as they teed it up, it went nuts for us,” Carroll said.
No one was nuttier than Clemons, who had 11 sacks in each of his first two seasons with the Seahawks.
His four sacks tied the club single-game record and also the NFL mark for most sacks in the first half of a game. Clemons has five sacks for the season, which ranks third in the league behind the Packers’ Clay Matthews (six) and Texans’ J.J. Watt (5.5).
This is the first weekly honor for a Seahawks player this season. Clemons won the award in Week 11 last season, when wide receiver Doug Baldwin (Week 14) and since-departed middle linebacker David Hawthorne (Week 13) also were honored.

The Seattle Seahawks defense took advantage of Aaron Rodgers in a game when they sacked him 8 times for 39 yards, Chris Clemons played like a man on a mission and his mission help Seattle to their Second win of the season. Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 4 Predicctions
Well, at least the debacle in Seattle last week resulted in something good – the regular Refs are coming back to work! See – everything happens for a reason!?!
The Seahawks figure to have a much easier time against St. Louis this week although there is not a whole lot of Fantasy Gold...
Even though I didn’t post it here (I went to bed early, screw me), it should be terribly obvious by now that the replacement refs totally screwed up last night’s game between the Packers and Seahawks. I’m not gonna explain what happened because you should know what happened by now, but here’s a link if you need reference.
Anyway, the blown call caused serious outrage, including...
The pundits will start the conversation on the controversial end to tonights Seahawks vs. Packers game in the morning but we can start it right now. The books will show that Russell Wilson made a Hail Mary pass to Golden Tate to win the game. The film will show Golden Tate's offensive interference and, subsequently, M.D. Jenning's interception of Wilson's pass.
It was fourth and last chance, throw it up, and pray. I had all but turned the television off, exasperated at another chance for Seattle to make a statement on a national stage.I watched helplessly as Russell Wilson scrambled right, perform the five d's of dodge ball, dodge, duck, dip, dive, dodge, and throw a bomb to the back left corner of the end zone.Who would have known...
Lol. I swear, I fell out when I read this. I know it’s not proper journalistic etiquette to start an article off laughing. Sorry. Where was I?
The Seattle Times is reporting that Golden Tate has chosen to come clean. He admits to grotesquely pushing off in the Seattle Seahawks‘ controversial victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.
“I’m not going to...
The Seattle Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers 14-12 Monday night, behind a lights-out first-half defensive effort and, oh, perhaps the most controversial ending in NFL history. A picture says 1,000 words.
Seattle Seahawks (2-1) at St. Louis Rams (1-2)
I love to exploit home/road discrepancies so the Seahawks are one of my favorite teams to bet. Since 2007, they are 29-14 ATS at home and 14-28 ATS on the road. Riding that trend is the reason why I’ve selected every Seahawks game correctly this year and for significant units as well. Going on the road to St. Louis this week, I plan...
I want to try and come up with a way to type up a story after what just happened but all I can come up with is this. That was the most pathetic display of football that anybody has had to witness.
I’m not just talking about that last play, that last drive was filled with terrible calls. From the roughing the passer call, to the pass interference call, to the couple...
The NFL will address the controversial call that ended the Seattle Seahawks' 14-12 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, Steve Wyche of NFL Network reports.
The Seahawks won the game on a 24 yard Hail Mary Pass from Russell Wilson when the officials ruled that Seahawks receiver Golden Tate and Packers defensive back M.D. Jennings simultaneously caught the ball despite...
Game calls by replacement officials are so bad that it is moving the betting line on NFL games, and on the odds teams will make the post season.
Kevin Bradley, Sportsbook Manager for bovada.lv, released this statememt on last night’s refereeing debacle in the Seattle Seahawks - Green Bay Packers game:
"Never have I seen such an egregious call that represented such...
You win some, you lose some. If you bet on NFL Monday night game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packer you’re probably still in a state of disbelief. I know I continually click here and refreshed there to make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me.
This controversial call either made your night or caused you to toss and turn in bed. If it’s true that 70% of the...
The NFL has issued a statement on the final play of Monday night's
Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks game.
A Las Vegas casino took an unusual step Wednesday and offered refunds to gamblers who lost money when the Seattle Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers on a controversial touchdown at the end of Monday night's game.
Derek Stevens, owner The D Las Vegas, seized on the attention being paid to the much-derided decision by replacement officials handling the NFL game and became the...
