Found July 30, 2014 on Mile High Sports:
The rain was pouring at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Wednesday morning as the second practice at the stadium got underway. The fans and the team did not seem to mind. 9,207 Bronco maniacs welcomed back the team but were especially excited to see Demaryius Thomas and Chris Harris. As the two big pieces to the Denver Broncos returned on offense and defense the team went about their business and looked good despite the conditions. The field was drenched and as a result the physicality that has been present since pads were put on last Saturday was muted. However, the depth in the secondary continued to be impressive and offensively the after the first teams steady play the second and third team showed again that they have a lot of work to do. Aqib Talib’s has shown coaches as well as fans his physical prowess in coverage and has been vocal within the group with advice as well as asks questions from the veteran Broncos. Omar Bolden and safety Duke Ihenacho again played great in pr...

Montee Ball more vocal in new leadership role

Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball is expected to take over the lead role as the top rusher in the team's offense and this offseason he has done nothing to sway that expectation. Ball doesn't have to compete with the departed Knowshon Moreno in 2014 and has the opportunity to be the main guy in the team's backfield. He's been working hard and taking on a...

Do the Denver Broncos have any of the 10 most underrated players in the NFL?

Last week, I provided my annual list of the 10 most overrated players in the NFL. As expected, it caused an uproar, mostly from people who can’t take off their team-colored glasses and deal with the truth. For a good time, read the “Comments” section below the article; it’s pure gold and classic examples of denial. In the spirit of showing that it’s not all negative on...

Peyton Manning dances to ‘Rocky Top,’ embarrasses everyone everywhere (video)

The folks running the P.A. system during a Denver Broncos training camp practice on Monday decided to pay a little tribute to Peyton Manning’s college days by blasting “Rocky Top,” the University of Tennessee Volunteers fight song over the loudspeakers. While Broncos players loosened up, the sounds of his beloved “Rocky Top” cascading down onto […] The post Peyton Manning...

Denver Broncos Looking for Fantasy Football Points from Emmanuel Sanders

At first glance the departure of Denver WR, Eric Decker, to the New York Jets made me think about how much better the Fantasy production of guys like Demearyius Thomas, Wes Welker and Julius Thomas might be.      While those guys are Peyton Manning's go-to guys, you have to wonder if free-agent pickup Emmanuel Sanders might just step right in and fill Decker's stats with...

Defensive line talent is abundant at camp

The Denver Broncos have many strengths and few weaknesses, most of which are glaring for all to see. The defensive line has only recently emerged in camp as possibly the deepest unit of talent on the roster. From veterans to rookies the players along the defensive front are progressing at a fast pace. Day seven of camp closed with substantial work in the trenches and newcomers have...

2014 Overrated: Montee Ball

I only hold hands when I hold balls. Totally makes sense. It has been pointed out that in my 2014 Fantasy Football Rankings, Montee Ball ranks quite lower than that of my peers. And while my first argument for this would be: gravity, bro (get it?), there are still many question marks here that prevent me from fully believing, kind of like Scientology. But less-less crazy and with...

Denver Broncos’ Matt Prater ranked 2nd best kicker fantasy option

With training camps underway, the NFL season is right around the corner. And that can only mean one thing: Fantasy football drafts are about to start happening. In order to get a jump on the competition, it’s never to early to start putting together a draft board. To help the cause, cover32 will be ranking each position, with updates from now until the start of the regular season...

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox ranked 18th best in NFL, full top-20 revealed

When cover32 released its list of the top 10 coaches in the NFL today, there were some people angry about their favorite team’s leader not making the list. It made for a bit of spirited debate in the “Comments” section below the article. And it also begged another question: How close was Mr. Irate Fan’s HC to making the list? To provide an answer, the editors at cover32 have...

Fantasy Football: AFC West team breakdowns

With the fantasy football draft season right around the corner, I’ve decided to do a breakdown on the fantasy-relevant players on every team, division by division. Peyton Manning is dancing again, this time on the practice field

We've all seen Peyton Manning in commercials (too many sometimes) and starring on Saturday Night Live. We know that one of the NFL's best quarterbacks has goof-ball tendencies...this time he takes it to the practice field.Bluegrass isn't exactly my top choice for dance music (give me some ska or some really good punk rock) but Manning shows his Louisiana roots with these...

Broncos’ Kevin Vickerson on the Seahawks: “F*** Seattle”

Broncos defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson has made it clear that he doesn’t like the Seattle Seahawks. “F*** Seattle,” Vickerson said told the Colorado Springs Gazette. “Write it down. Take a picture.” Vickerson was actually released by the Seahawks in 2010 and is obviously even more bitter after last year’s Super Bowl loss.  He also didn’t care for all of their...

Broncos’ Chris Harris Jr. removed from PUP

The Denver Broncos have activated cornerback Chris Harris Jr. from the physically unable to perform list as he continued to recover from ACL surgery. Chris Harris Jr. passed his physical and has been taken off the PUP list. — Denver Broncos (@Broncos) July 29, 2014 var ACE_AR = {Site: '898551', Size: '468060', CallType: 'IFRAME'}; ...

The Broncos have the right attitude

“The Seahawks ran onto the field in great spirits and loose. The Broncos were grim-faced and looked like a team that thought they had a date with destiny.” For the life of me, I can’t remember who said that quote. I wish I did, because they deserve credit for the words that stuck with me the most in the aftermath of Super Bowl XLVIII. We’ve all heard enough about that day...

Broncos DT Kevin Vickerson has some choice words for the Seattle Seahawks

Denver Broncos defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson was injured when his team got slapped around by the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII. So all offseason, Vickerson has heard Seahawks players talk trash about the Broncos and how they gave up that night. Well, Paul Klee of the Colorado Springs Gazette spoke with Vickerson and he had some choice words for the Seahawks. “(Bleep...

Training camp recap – days 6 and 7

It is required by the CBA that there is a mandatory rest day after a certain amount of camp days. So the Broncos took Tuesday off. I went with my family to Grand Junction to see our 10 year old little league all star team compete against North Boulder in the State Little League Finals. They lost 9-6, but would come back in the double elimination tournament the next night to win 7...
