Against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, New Orleans Saints running back Chris Ivory went beast mode when he made a huge burst for the end zone in the first quarter, galloping for a 56-yard touchdown to cut the Falcons’ lead to 10-7. The Saints were able to knock off the Falcons, giving them their first loss of the season and ending their perfect-season hopes. For them, however, they have increased their chances of making the playoffs and have their hopes move live than ever. Ivory had 72 yards off seven carries in the big win. These two GIFs below show how much of a beast the 24-year-old was on that play: The post Chris Ivory Goes Beast Mode on the Falcons (Video) appeared first on FootBasket.

Chris Ivory's elusive 56 yard touchdown

Early in today’s matchup between the unbeaten Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans running back Chris Ivory took off on a 56 yard touchdown run. Ivory was able to elude not only the defenders but the sideline and cut back across the field, making the run roughly 80 yards all told. Article found on: Cosby Sweaters

NFL Cougar Highlights: Week Ten

IT WASN’T THE longest touchdown run in New Orleans Saints history, but Chris Ivory’s 56-yard ramble against Atlanta on Sunday is being labeled one of the greatest ever witnessed in the Big Easy.

Michael Turner's lost season

Full disclosure: I own Michael Smith on my only fantasy football team. More on that later, but at least you know that.Prior to the NFL season getting underway, I read the Falcons were going to move to a more uptempo style offense. I thought, why not? Matt Ryan is one of the good young quarterbacks in the league, and has a arsenal of weapons at his disposal. Julio Jones, Roddy White...

Fantasy ranks week 10: Start your Falcons, Julio Jones and Roddy White each inside the top 3 and Matt Ryan our #1 quarterback

We’ve covered it routinely (here and here for example), the Saints are a fantasy matchup worth stacking up against and this week is no different. Its hard to anticipate top 5 numbers from teammates because there are only so many passing yards to go around but if anyone can do it its Roddy White and Julio Jones...

Muy Frio: Pierre Thomas

They ain’t giving me the ball Juan… Pierre Thomas may be the most all around talented RB on the Saints, who have a ton of talent at RB.  We all thought once Sproles could miss time that Thomas would be an automatic stud RB, right?  Wrong. In the last 2 games since Sproles has been sidelined, Thomas has been non-existent in the game plan.  He has only 11 carries over that...

Falcons LB Stephen Nicholas & Emmanuel Lewis from “Webster” have Cupid Shuffle battle

I think I have discovered the key to the Atlanta Falcons 8-0 season. Emmanuel Lewis and the Cupid shuffle. Check out this video of the former “Webster” star and Falcons Linebacker Stephen Nicholas having a dance battle at the team’s 8th annual Celebrity FootBowl Tournament.     How very “You Got Served.” The [...]

Tony Gonzalez Hauls in 2 TDs vs. Saints

Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez caught 11 passes for 122 yards and two scores Sunday against the Saints.Fantasy Spin:Gonzalez was unstoppable against a weak defense after three lackluster efforts. He's still a top-three tight end.

Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez Catches His 100th Touchdown Pass

The greatest tight end in NFL history just hit another milestone. In the midst of one of his best seasons ever, Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez can put another bullet point on a Hall of Fame resume. Against the Saints, he nabbed a two yard touchdown pass, which was his 100th for his career. There simply hasn't been a tight end with the kind of longevity and talent as Gonzalez in...

Saints hand Falcons first loss, 31-27

Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints no longer sound like a team in denial when they discuss their refusal to give up on this most unusual of seasons. Perhaps all was not lost when they followed up a scandal-plagued offseason with an 0-4 start. Certainly, the Superdome was packed with reveling believers after tight end Jimmy Graham turned in a career performance and his teammates...

Falcons release Ray Edwards

The Atlanta Falcons cut ties with veteran defensive end Ray Edwards on Monday, sources confirmed to FOXSports.com. Edwards, who agreed to a five-year deal in 2011 with the Falcons, was a big commodity in free agency after posting 31.5 sacks with the Minnesota Vikings in five seasons. Edwards has been active in each of the Falcons games this season, but has been used sparingly. ...

NFL Star Caught In Chris Brown, Rihanna Drama

By now everyone knows that Chris Brown and his (former) ex-girlfriend Rihanna have re-united their love for each other, but apparently that's not stopping men from trying to "holla" at the music singer.According to a report, NFL star Junior Galette, who plays for the New Orleans Saints, started talking to the music singer via Twitter. From the tweets, it appears that...

Tony Gonzalez, Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham Making Headway Into List of Top 10 Tight Ends in NFL History (Photos)

When Tony Gonzalez reeled in his 100th career touchdown catch Sunday, the feat was notable for several reasons, one of the biggest being how inevitable it seemed. Gonzalez has been dominating the NFL from the tight end position for more than a decade now, and it makes sense that he’d not only cross the 100-touchdown barrier but also put himself alongside just five others on the...
