If you tuned in on Monday to watch the Cincinnati Bengals defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers at home, you may have noticed an interesting choice of music being played over the speaker system at Paul Brown Stadium throughout the game. The music I am referring to is Katy Perry's hit sing "Roar" and it apparently didn't go over well with the majority of Bengals fans. The song was played several times Monday night. The first notable occurrence came before kickoff when Bengals players were running onto the field. The last notable occurrence happened immediately following the end of the fourth quarter to celebrate Cincinnati's win over arch rival Pittsburgh. Naturally, fans were extremely happy with the outcome of the game, but were less thrilled about the music selection. So, they took to the internet to voice their displeasure. Now, it appears as though the Bengals are ready to scrap the Katy Perry experiment. "I think some fans proved that there's an expectation that when the team takes the field, there should be more of a hard-rock, classic-rock song and I know that's what we're going to do this game," Bengals director of public affairs Jeff Berding said, via the Wall Street Journal. "Katy Perry is not going to be the last song you hear before the team takes the field." So, there you go Bengals fans. There is honestly nothing left to complain about at this point. Well, until Andy Dalton misfires a ball to a receiver or until Marvin Lewis makes a boneheaded coaching decision. Via Eye on Football
