Has there been a more disappointing performance in 2011 than that of Chris Johnson through seven weeks of the season? How could there be?
How the mighty have fallen.
In a year that has seen significant injury and underwhelming performance by many so highly ranked on draft boards, it leaves a dynasty coach to wonder just what is the best course of action in the second half of the season. Dig in and ride it out or sell low and retool for 2012? Wemay not be able to answer those questions for you here at DLF, but we can start addressing some of the issues individually. As painful as it might be, let’s talk about my mid-season 2011 L.V.P. award-winner, Chris Johnson.
Through week seven Johnson has amassed 93/268/1 in the run game and 24/143/0 in the passing game. Yes, those numbers are correct! An anemic 2.9 ypca. nearly mid-way through the season. On any level, those numbers are pathetic and nearly beyond explanation from a back, who only two years ago, rushed for over 2,000 yards with...

Chris Johnson: I'm not the problem
The Titans offense has been sputtering all season, and despite being the cornerstone of that offense, CJ2K says he isn't to blame.
Chris Johnson Says He Is Still Playing Hard
Apparently Chris Johnson is still playing hard even when he is homeless. Hard to imagine he is actually homeless considering he just signed a 53 million dollar contract. We assume he is making an analogy about the way he is playing.
Playing hard might buy you a couple weeks with the Titans fans, but it's not buying you time with fantasy owners that drafted you in the...

More on Chris Johnson and the Titans' struggles in the run game
Yes, it's more on Chris Johnson. I'll start with this from the great Greg Cosell of NFL Films on this week's FantasyGuru Matchup podcast:
Well, you have to understand, as we always say, the eye in the sky does not lie. It's the truth serum. And players know, they see it too. Okay? Right now, Chris Johnson is not running well. He is an avoid contact runner. His teammates...
Munchak: No plans to remove RB Johnson
Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak said he does not plan to remove slumping running back Chris Johnson from the lineup.
Johnson ran for 4,598 yards and 34 touchdowns through his first three seasons. He held out through training camp before signing a four-year contract extension worth $53 million.
This season, Johnson has rushed for more than 53 yards in a game just once in six...

Inside slant: Titans staying pat on O-line
Titans coach Mike Munchak isn't going to send running back Chris Johnson and his 30 million to the bench for a lackluster performance this season.
Neither is he making any changes on the offensive line for now, even though there are decent backups on hand.
Tennessee got blasted 41-7 Sunday by Houston, forcing Munchak and the Titans into re-evaluation mode. But while the Titans...

Shuffle Up and Run: Chris Johnson’s Treehouse of Horror
When you're a fantasy scribe by trade, you essentially rank things for a living. Today we meet up with running backs, kickers and defenses.
The listings below are rest-of-season ranks, how I'd attack a fresh draft tonight. It's an even-numbered week, which means we hit the backfield and the two fringe positions. The passing postions (QB, WR, TE) will return to the floor...
