CJ Spiller’s hard work with the Buffalo Bills is definitely getting noticed.
Profootballfocus.com, a website which looks at NFL statistics and grades player’s performances, has ranked Spiller as one of the top running backs to represent the AFC in this year’s Pro Bowl.
“He came into the year as the second choice halfback on his own team, and is currently our starting AFC tailback,” the website said about Spiller. “After a couple of sub-par games recovering from his injury in Cleveland, Spiller’s now looking back to his early-season best. It was a close call in the end between Arian Foster (HST) and (Willis) McGahee. It came down to Foster’s appalling, league-worst, pass protection (one sack, three hits and seven hurries allowed) and his failure to generate anything as a receiver.”
Spiller is currently ranked fifth in rushing in the AFC. He also leads all running backs with 7.3 yards per carry average.

Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams informed the team about his surprise wrist surgery last week via text, ESPN.com reported Sunday. Williams did not show up to the Bills facility last Monday before texting a trainer and a defensive line coach to inform them he was getting a second opinion on his wrist and that he was having arthroscopic surgery. He then texted that he would...
Mario Williams Texted Bills About Surgery -
It turns out, Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams has not only been invisible on the field but silent off it. When Williams had arthroscopic surgery on his wrist Tuesday, it was much to the surprise of the Bills. Team sources say Williams was a no-show Monday before he texted a trainer and his defensive line coach to say he was getting...
Last Friday during his bye week, we got a chance to speak with George Wilson, the starting strong safety for the Buffalo Bills, who is now in his seventh year in the league. Wilson is the team’s union representative, so we asked him about what he thinks about the recent decision by Roger Goodell to recuse himself from the Saints bounty appeals progress. He also asked him about...
Mario Williams hopes to be back on the field this Sunday, not that you may have realised his absence anyway in his blink-and-you’ll-miss-him-season thus far.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported on Sunday his own earlier story that Buffalo was fined $20,000 for failing to disclose Williams’ injury earlier in the season despite the defensive end never missing a practice. The...
