Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews signed a contract extension with the team on Wednesday.
Trivial amongst the recent tragic news, but happy to continue my career in Green Bay! twitter.com/ClayMatthews52…

Fox Sports insider Jay Glazer reported the deal is a five-year contract worth just over $13 million per year.
Matthews, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, was due to make $3.73 million in the final year of his contract. The Packers wanted to get a deal done this offseason in fear he may test free agency.
The new deal puts Matthews in the same neighborhood as the NFL’s highest-paid linebacker, Cowboys’ DeMarcus Ware.
