Cleveland Browns Add Another Rival Veteran Quarterback On Sunday, After Last Season’s Horrible Blunder
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns 2023 Week One quarterback room was Deshaun Watson and rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson after the team traded Josh Dobbs to the Arizona Cardinals after the preseason.

The Cleveland Browns 2023 Quarterback Room Was Not Good

The Browns saw Deshaun Watson get injured multiple times throughout the year, and before you knew it, Thompson-Robinson and practice squad quarterback PJ Walker were starting games, and it was not a pretty sight.

Watson ended up getting injured again for the rest of the season in the middle of November, and the Browns were able to luck into signing Joe Flacco, who took them to the playoffs.

The Browns didn’t bring Flacco back again for the 2024 season, so they signed Jameis Winston as the backup. On Sunday, they also signed another veteran backup quarterback.

Cleveland Browns Agree To A Deal With Tyler Huntley

According to Mary Kay Cabot, the Browns have agreed to terms with former Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley

Huntley has spent his first four NFL seasons in Baltimore and backed up quarterback Lamar Jackson. Huntley saw much action in 2021 and 2022 when Jackson went out with injuries in the middle of the season and even saw himself make the Pro Bowl in 2022.

Browns Quarterback Room Is Loaded For 2024

The Browns quarterback room now has Watson, Winston, Huntley, and Thompson-Robinson, and I expect the team to take three quarterbacks to start the year.

The quarterback room is 100 times better than last year at the start of the season, and Watson is coming off a shoulder injury, so having more Veteran quarterbacks in the room is good just in case Watson can’t go Week One.
