Hero: Dez BryantFor the first time all season, Dez Bryant was able to put up great numbers without having an asterisk attached to his performance (*he dropped three passes, *dropped the game-tying 2-point conversion, *fumbled a punt). Bryant was un-coverable for the Cleveland secondary, finishing the game with 12 catches for 145 yards and a touchdown. Those numbers could have been higher if the refs had not blown a play dead where Bryant was fighting for yards and broke free of four defenders for what would have been a long touchdown.Bryant's contributions went beyond his numbers, he also drew several holding penalties that allowed Dallas drives to keep going. Bryant now has back to back impressive performances that came without any glaring mistakes. Also he seems to have finally gotten on the same page as Tony Romo, no longer being in one spot and having Romo throw to a different spot.If he can continue to produce without making mistakes, Bryant will be a huge asset for the Cowb...

Dez Bryant on Cowboys fans booing: ‘That hurt my heart’

Dez Bryant has had about as much of an up-and-down season with the Dallas Cowboys this year as you can have. So has the team, and they put their fans through another roller coaster ride on Sunday with an overtime win over the Cleveland Browns. Bryant had an outstanding day as he recorded 12 catches for 145 yards and a touchdown. However, Cowboys fans booed him in the second quarter...

Dez Bryant says being booed by Cowboys’ fans hurt his heart

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant had a breakout game with 12 catches for 145 yards, but still received some boos from the home crowd. “I was hearing it. I was,” Bryant said, per USA Today Sports. “Man, that hurt my heart.” Braynt was booed for going out-of-bounds instead of heading up field.  But he says he didn’t realize where he was on the field at the time. “When...

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant could finally be arriving

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By SCHUYLER DIXON AP Sports Writer Dez Bryant may finally be ready to stop being a riddle. The Cowboys receiver has been great one game and hard to find the next. He created a scene at a mall one year, then trouble with the law the next. But now he has multiple 100-yard receiving games for the first time, including a career-best...

Dez Bryant says the boos hurt his heart

Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant says he's sorry for stepping out of bounds during a second quarter reception Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.   The crowd at Cowboys Stadium booed Bryant after he stepped out of bounds on the play, and then booed him a few times when it was shown on the mega-screen.   "I was hearing it. I was," Bryant said via USA Today. ...

Browns heap praise on defensive line vs Dallas

BEREA One of the obvious silver linings in the overtime loss to the Cowboys was the pressure the Browns put on Tony Romo. The Browns had a season high seven sacks and also hit the quarterback 10 other times. It was the first time that Phil Taylor and Ahtyba Rubin lined up as the starting defensive tackles all season due to injury. The front four accounted for five of the seven sacks...

Haden is a key piece of a defense that is tied for sixth in the NFL with 10 interceptions. Second-year player Buster Skrine will start opposite Sheldon Brown. Cleveland defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin is back in the lineup after missing three games...

Nothing comes easy for these Dallas Cowboys

The year is 2000, and it would mark the end of an era for the once-fabled Dallas Cowboys franchise. Just a short time before, there were the three Super Bowl wins in four years, the Big Three; there was “Prime Time.” But now there is Troy Aikman on his last legs, Michael Irvin retired the year before, and Emmitt Smith stumbling towards a few more all-time records. The glory was...

Browns CB Haden out vs. Cowboys

Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden is inactive for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys with an oblique injury. He made the trip to Dallas, but was ruled out after pregame warmups. Haden sustained the injury during practice on Wednesday. Sheldon Brown and Buster Skrine will start at cornerback for Cleveland.

Cowboys outlast Browns for win

For every play but one, Tony Romo protected the ball through a career-high seven sacks and led a rally to put Dallas in position to win. That one play almost cost the Cowboys dearly Sunday. Dan Bailey kicked a 38-yard field goal in overtime and Dallas overcame a critical fumble by Romo that sparked a wild ending in the Cowboys' 23-20 victory against Cleveland. It was the 12th...

Cowboys beat Browns 23-20 in wild OT finish

Tony Romo and Dallas coach Jason Garrett spend a lot of time talking about protecting the ball when chaos surrounds the Cowboys quarterback. They have another good teaching point from Sunday's 23-20 overtime win against Cleveland. Just when it looked like Romo would persevere through a career-high seven sacks to lead a Cowboys comeback, he lost a critical fumble that sparked...

Cowboys 23, Browns 20 (OT)

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Tony Romo and Dez Bryant finally may be starting to click.
