After one preseason game, the Browns now know what kinds of things they need to work on as the regular season approaches. What they also now know is, some things may be out of their control to work on.
Take, for instance, the curious case of Mohammad Massoquoi. Massoquoi took one hit in last Friday’s game, and promptly was removed from the game for precautionary reasons related to concussion symptoms. On Tuesday, it was revealed the spotter in the stands was the official who had Massoquoi removed from the game.
While in the course of a normal game Massoquoi may have come back in, assuming he was symptom free, it ended his night and created a whole new debate over concussions in the NFL, a debate that won’t hit the national stage until it happens to someone like Tom Brady.
What if Tom Brady takes a good hit on Sunday Night Football in the third quarter and the spotter, who has no ability to look in the players’ eye or question him, tells the trainers to pull him aside? What if there ...
BEST OF MAXIM
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was back at his cover boy best for a photo spread and interview in VMAN magazine. Anointed as “America’s Alpha Dog” on the cover of the fall issue of the magazine, a tuxedoed Brady also is paired for some stylish shots with a ferocious-looking Doberman. Growl! But to balance [...]
Tom Brady is so above doing photoshoots looking sexy and sauve for GQ. He’s far above being pumped on a fantasy football cover. Brady likes a challenge. He needs a thrill. Sporting the five o’clock shadow with a pretty woman stroking his face is so yesterday. He wants a tuxedo, a dog collar and a angry Doberman trying to rip of his throwing arm.
That’s exactly how...

Players seemed to have trouble holding their own under pressure, a problem that had also crept up last year as opposing defenses found a way to get to quarterback Tom Brady. While much of the offseason talk has been about Brady and his many weapons at...

“Whoever’s out there is out there. I really couldn’t care less who’s calling the game. I gotta go...

The NFL has long been a copycat league, and after watching the New York Giants trot out a star studded defensive line and smack around Tom Brady for the second time in five seasons, who could blame Buffalo’s General Manager Buddy Nix for trying to mold his team in their image. We all know about the personnel upgrades the Bills have made during the off-season, but catering your...
Move over Patriots, there may be Super Bowl competition in a place where one wouldn’t have thought–Arrowhead. Ok, that was obviously hyperbole, but the fact remains that the Kansas City Chiefs could very well join the Patriots as favorites for the AFC conference title. I’ll admit it, initially I was skeptical too then after hearing whispers that the Chiefs were more than just...

The Buffalo Bills have been the bottom feeders of the AFC East division for years now, and the 2012 season has brought optimism to fans like never before. Last year, the Bills snapped a 15 game, eight year losing streak to the New England Patriots. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has torched the Bills for 46 touchdowns to just 17 interceptions, and while...
