Barkevious Mingo the Cleveland Browns first round draft pick has returned to practice after suffering a bruised lung against the Detroit Lions. Mingo has been running and completing positions drills until they begin drills involving contact. He has yet to be cleared to participate in any contact drills during practice. Browns CEO Joe Banner told the Beacon Journal that further testing must be completed prior to determining his status for week one. Banner does seem happy with the progress that Mingo has made  getting back o the field. I think that we're pleased in how he's doing and the fact that he's back out on the field, limited, but back out on the field, Banner said. We'll probably know in the next two to three days whether he'll be able to play this week. We're still hopeful, but we won't know for sure until later in the week. Mingo was not slated to be a starter, I would expect Cleveland to error on the side of caution and sit him until he is 100 percent. This will cause a lack of depth but will serve as an insurance policy for Mingo who was the sixth overall draft pick. Jabaal Sheard and Paul Kruger who came over from the Super bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens will be the starting outside linebackers ahead of Mingo. You know I was really trying to hide my exasperation at yet another piece of information with little or no relevance being treated like an earth shattering revelation. How did I do? The more surprising aspect of this news wasn't that former UNC WR Greg Little was given $20,000 by an agent or that Jennifer Wiley was involved. That sort of thing goes on all the time according to...
