Bounce It Off Phil B.:
Ever since the days of RB Edgerrin James, the reporters who ask questions have always been partial to guys who keep it real and shoot you straight. That's why I've always enjoyed talking to WLB Clint Session.
In catching up with Session this week, I first asked what was on the minds of many fans, about the calf and knee injuries that kept him out of the lineup the last two games. The obvious question was about if his readiness for the playoffs. Will he still be the same fast-moving, hard-hitting Clint Session?
He laughed.
"I can definitely tell you, he-he-he, and Phil might be overdoing it a little bit, but I'll be back and feeling pretty good," he said. "I got a chance to get some rest for my knee. I'm ready for the playoffs now."
I suggested that the negativity surrounding the team, not necessarily aimed at the players but at the decision to rest starters and not go for a perfect season, might have brought the players closer together.
