As we’ve talked about over the past few days, Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien is in the news. His name was thrown around for the Penn State opening and now the Jaguars would like to speak with them for their head-coach opening.
Of course, his goal is to be an NFL head coach more than a college coach, though it would seem the Penn State job drew some interest from him. O’Brien, by the way, was in the building today (right, in a Herald photo by Matt Stone.)
Today, I asked Belichick what attributes O’Brien had that made him an attractive NFL coach. While Belichick clearly wasn’t getting into great detail (he likely doesn’t want a top lieutenant to leave), he did share some thoughts.
