TEAMS: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys
It’s nothing like putting your coaching job on the line. Coach Raheem Morris is not running from all of the criticism and skepticism with his team out of the playoff race.
His plan is to beat all of the other teams remaining on the schedule this season, especially, if they have playoff aspirations. With Josh Freeman finally healthy, he wants to end the Cowboys season by beating them this week. He is the rare coach who is loved by fans in South Florida for giving many troubled players second chances like LeGarrette Blount and Mike Williams, but with several off the field issues this season, there have been quite a bit of questions surrounding his ability to effectively issue discipline.
To give you an idea of his focus and plan this week, he recently stated, “But for us, man, it’s a mentally tough business. It is move on. It is next opponent. It’s next man up. It’s the Dallas Cowboys. … For me, a chance to ruin (Cowboys coach) Jason Garrett’s season, and let you talk about him.”
You have to love a little pregame bulletin board material and trash talk from a head coach. It should make the game very intense between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week.
