Coaching Candidate Overview

Stephen Holder has put together a pretty good list of possible head coaching candidates for those of you who don’t keep up with other teams. For those of us who do, it’s pretty much a list of every single possibility. For example, I don’t see Bill Cowher, Herm Edwards, Marty Schottenheimer or Steve Mariucci happening (although I wouldn’t mind Mooch). Brian Billick used to be seen as a quarterback guru until Kyle Boller got a hold of him. I think he’s got a good football mind, but can he really tame this many young kids? Probably not. Mike Sherman was just fired from Texas A&M after for years and one winning season — does that mean he gets a promotion to the NFL? He did some good work in Green Bay, but was that him or Brett Favre? And Jeff Fisher has interviews lined up with St. Louis and Miami, so if the Glazers really want him, they’re going to have to make the sales pitch of their lives.
