The Sports Bank:
One of the big trends for Super Bowl XLVII – #Kaepernicking. We’ve had Tebowing, Bradying, Te’oing and pretty much every -ing with a football player you can name in the past year or so. Now the San Francisco 49ers QB’s signature pose has gone viral, and Colin Kaepernick has teamed up with licensed apparel brand Sportiqe to use the social media phenomenon for a good cause.
While last year’s Super Bowl was all about the New York Giants’ Victor Cruz and his “Salsa Dance”, this year #Kaepernicking (The Act of kissing one’s bicep- see above) has become a fan favorite meme across the country. And that’s saying something since the meme craze, including Taylor Swifting and cat breading (see below), has gotten way out of control. Sportiqe has partnered with Colin to create ‘#Kaepernicking” t-shirts for both men and women, and a portion of the proceeds benefit Camp Taylor, a nonprofit free camp for Children with Heart disease.

CollegeFootballGeek.com's Todd DeVries has been a fan of Colin Kaepernick since he won the Nevada quarterback job from Nick Graziano way back in 2007. Kaepernick went on to have an epic career at Nevada, becoming one of the most prolific quarterbacks in college fantasy football history. Now that he has surprisingly led the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl, we thought it...
The read option is the latest trend sweeping the NFL, thanks in large part to the success of quarterbacks like Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, and RG III in the 2012 season. San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis doesn't seem to feel any pressure in the playoffs.
In last week’s 28-24 win at Atlanta in the NFC Championship, Davis had five catches for 106 yards and one touchdown. He recorded his third career 100-yard game in the playoffs, tying Dallas Clark for the seco
The San Francisco 49ers are on their way to a sixth Super Bowl appearance after defeating the Atlanta Falcons 28-24 on Sunday.
Here's what the coaches and players had to say following the victory via 49ers.com:
Coach Jim Harbaugh: “I think winning the George Halas Trophy that’s a huge accomplishment, It’s another
We are not Jim and John. Neither of us coach the Baltimore Ravens or the San Francisco 49ers.
We never played in the NFL. We live vicariously through players like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, Arian Foster and Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson and Andre Johnson, imagining every Sunday, placing ourselves in the cleats, pads and jerseys of the games greats, deriving an entire range...
Those who choose to hate on Super Bowl XLVII will surely point swiftly to the unsexy quarterback matchup. After years of being spoiled in the Super Bowl by guys like Brady, Manning, Manning, Brees, Rodgers and Roethlisberger, we're left with a matchup between Joe Flacco and Colin Kaepernick. Both are young and have superb skill sets, but neither is a household name to your average...
There is more on the line for the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII then just winning the Lombardi Trophy. A win over Baltimore would give the 49ers the chance to launch a new dynasty and enjoy successes similar to the 49ers teams of the 1980’s and 1990’s.I do think that San Francisco has the tools and ability to win Super Bowl XLVII and become a dominant force in the NFL...
49ers 28, Falcons 24
1. The Falcons may have been overly concerned about Kaepernick.
The Falcons went into the NFC title game knowing they had to at least contain Colin Kaepernick. They did that – it’s just too bad that they didn’t defend anyone else in the process. The Falcons were so concerned about Kaepernick beating them with his legs that they lost sight of the fact he...
The 49ers, not the Ravens, are going to win the Super Bowl, so says Tecmo Bowl.
The folks who do modern-day simulations of NFL games using the classic video game plugged in the teams competing in Super Bowl XLVII. And bad news for Joe Flacco and the Ravens; they don’t claim the Lombardi Trophy.
It was, however, a tight game heading into the fourth, deadlocked at 17. But then the...
