Collin Klein went undrafted after the NFL Draft. The Houston Texans brought the former Kansas State product, who was viewed as a Tim Tebow type of player in for a tryout.Klein had a great collegiate career and has a great work ethic, but many believe it wouldn't hit the mark in the NFL.The Houston Texans' coach was left dumbfounded when he brought Klein in on a tryout basis. Kubiak said the work he had been putting in with former NFL quarterback Jake Plummer had done wonders for his movements under center.Kubiak said that Klein showed the arm strength and the football instincts you need to succeed at the next level. He did mention a wobbly throwing motion but also stated it is something you can work around. With Matt Schaub turning 32 this season, it is time to start grooming his successor, Kubiak said that "Klein had the talent to take a roster spot away from T.J. Yates, Case Keenum or Stephen McGee." Klein definitely showed that he had potential in college as well.Klein had a very decorated career at Kansas State. It wasn't until his junior year that Klein really caught on as a Wildcat. In 2011 and 2012, he combined to throw for 4,559 yards and 29 touchdowns. Even more impressively, he rushed for 2,061 yards and 50 touchdowns. This is the evolving desires of front offices as they search for that new, dual-threat quarterback. Klein could be the best QB pick-up of this draft class.Collin Klein confirmed on twitter that he was competing for a spot on the Texans' roster:I am so excited and honored to be given a chance to compete for the Houston Texans! Now that Klein has been signed by the Texans as an undrafted free agent, he has realized his dreams of playing in the NFL. He only has one more mountain left to climb, earning a roster spot in Houston. According to head coach Gary Kubiak and his commentaries on the player, it shouldn't be too difficult.
