TAMPA, FL - SEPTEMBER 12: Rookie quarterback Colt McCoy of the Cleveland Browns warms up just prior to the start of the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on September 12, 2010 in Tampa, Florida. (Photo by J. Meric/Getty Images)
I really like Cleveland. I’ve always been a guy that wants to finish what he starts. That’s part of my nature. You’re getting everything I have, whether that’s working, preparing, studying or practicing. Unfortunately, a lot of things are out of my control. The main thing for me is not to worry about those things I can’t control. I have to go in, do my job and have high character and compete my tail off, if the opportunity’s available. Other than that, there’s not much you can do. So that’s what I try to do every day.

- Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy to a reporter at his Texas-based football camp. The Browns are 6-15 with McCoy as their starter and recently used a first-round draft selection on Oklahoma State’s Brandon Weeden. McCoy,in those 21 games, has thrown 20 touchdown passes and 20 interceptions, boasting a passer rating of 74.5. The Browns are widely expected to cut ties with their third-year QB despite some feeling it would be a mistake to do so.

  • I think Colt McCoy will be a great quarter back if he had a line that could give him protection he needs, he dosn't have time to do anything before the defience is in on him, can't the coath see that, don't blame him for if he dosn't have time to do anything without getting sacked, I believe he was sacked more than othe quaterbacks in the nfl cant't the coaches see that if they can't we need better coaches
