Vinatieri's kick lifts Colts past Vikings

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Vikings owned the fourth quarter, but Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri had the last word. Christian Ponder's accuracy improving week by week

Minnesota Vikings' second year quarterback Christian Ponder has shown signs of improvement from last year, and even last week.  Although the Vikings lost to the Colts yesterday, 23-20, Ponder's accuracy has improved. Ponder was a respectable 20-27 last week for 270 yards.  No interceptions, no touchdowns, just moved the ball down the field.  This week, Ponder was 27...

Matt Kalil nearly perfect through two games

Minnesota Vikings 1st-round pick Matt Kalil hasn’t wasted any time living up to expectations. According to Pro Football Focus, Kalil has allowed zero sacks, zero quarterback hits and just one quarterback hurry. PFF’s weighted Pass Block Efficiency rating ranks Kalil among the game’s elite with a 98.9 percent rating. It’s only two games and we shouldn’t draw conclusions...

Minnesota Vikings travel to Indianapolis to face the Indianapolis Colts

The 1-0 Minnesota Vikings are set to square off against the 0-1 Indianapolis Colts tomorrow at 12:00 CT at Lucas Oil Stadium.  The Vikings are coming off a big win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they have to take these Colts very seriously if they expect to come out of Indianapolis with a win.   One of the main issues that the Vikings will face on Sunday is the...

En Fuego: Reggie Wayne

I still got plenty of gas left Juan… This offseason Reggie Wayne was rumored to be headed to wherever Peyton Manning landed. Well, he stayed at home to work with Andrew Luck. Not such a bad thing for fantasy owners. Wayne had 18 targets from the rookie last week, which was just a flat out ridiculous amount for any WR. This week I liked him going against the Vikings who have crushed...

Colts live up to early promises with early win

The Indianapolis Colts are already off to a new start. After stumbling out of the gate last season with 13 consecutive losses and dealing with the interminable questions about going winless, new coach Chuck Pagano and new quarterback Andrew Luck have already made sure that won't happen again. They're beginning to re-establish home-field advantage with three straight wins...

Indianapolis Colts Week 2 Preview: The Minnesota Vikings

The Indianapolis Colts take on the Minnesota Vikings today in their home opener at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Colts, who lost 41-21 last week against the Chicago Bears, look for a rebound performance and try to get rookie quarterback Andrew Luck his first ever NFL win. Lest you forget, Luck’s numbers (and results) from his first game were eerily similar to that of Peyton Manning...

CB Jefferson active for the Vikings

CB A.J. Jefferson, acquired in a trade on Sept. 1, is active for the Vikings while Brandon Burton was made inactive.

Indianapolis Colts look for first win in home opener against Minnesota Vikings

The Indianapolis Colts weren’t so fortunate in the scheduling department for Week 1 of the 2012 NFL season, drawing a matchup against a strong Chicago Bears team at Soldier Field and losing 41-21. The Colts (0-1) might fare better there this week. Indianapolis, on the heels of a rough opening to the Andrew Luck era — the No. 1 pick in April’s draft turned the ball over four...
