No disrespect to Ed Reed, he may have some new bling in a few days, but he's in the twilight of his career and the Colts are a young team building for a future that Reed will be watching from a recliner. Should go after some younger free agent talent or save the cap space for later.
We already know the New England Patriots will likely be in play to land Ravens safety Ed Reed in free agency. There’s also a chance the Indianapolis Colts could make a run at him as well.
Colts head coach Chuck Pagano was Reed’s defensive coordinator in Baltimore and the Colts were a playoff team this season.
I think the Patriots have the best shot at signing Reed. They might be willing to open up their wallets to most to acquire him.
