Love fantasy football and looking to add more leagues to your schedule? Or have you heard everyone else talking about their rosters, trades, and bad luck, but you've never had the chance to try it out for yourself? Well here's your chance. Colts Authority will be hosting a variety of leagues and formats for everyone from the noobie fantasy football player, to seasoned vets. We will be hosting four leagues this season: 1. A 16-team auction league, with the following roster setup: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Offensive Utility Player (any player from any offensive position can be slotted here), 1 D, 1 K. If you've never tried an auction draft before, now's your chance. This severely underused draft type is a lot of fun and can involve many strategic and tactical decisions that a snake draft simply won't feature. 2. A 12-team dynasty league. Standard roster. Dynasty leagues are continuous; each year you'll retain approximately 75% of your roster, while draffts w...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Ijalana

After this, I'm done, I promise.  I've covered Ben Ijalana several times over the last few days, and after finding out he was cut, my fears of Ijalana's injury leading to a shortened NFL career were realized.  I thought that that would be the end of the Ijalana coverage, but some attitudes toward him have been bothering me over the last twenty-four hours, and I wanted...

Ijalana Waived, OT Ty Nsekhe Signed

And so, a promising young lineman's career is over before it even began: the Colts have cut second year player from Villanova Ben Ijalana.  Ijalana was the second round draft pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, someone who possibly would be a bookend with Anthony Castonzo for years. Unfortunately, Ijalana tore his ACL in his left knee during Week 4 of the 2011 season. After a year...

Jerry Hughes Fighting for a Roster Spot, Literally

The Indianapolis Colts returned to the practice field at Anderson University to some typical August heat. That was nothing compared to the heat between OLB Jerry Hughes and new offensive tackle Winston Justice. The two got into the first skirmish of this year's training camp. The brief bout was highlighted by Justice auditioning for the Olympic hammer throw team, tossing...

Oliver Luck on Hand to Check Out Andrew's Progress at Indianapolis Colts Training Camp

The Indianapolis Colts had a special visitor watching practice today at Anderson University: Andrew Luck's father, Oliver, was on hand to get a glimpse at his son's progress as an NFL quarterback. Of course, the Colts are quite used to having a quarterback's father around watching, having spent 14 years with Archie and Peyton Manning. Oliver himself was a quarterback...

A Blast From the Past: Talking to Tony Dungy

As we've been doing all week, we bring to you another interview from Nate Dunlevy's fully inclusive coverage of the Colts' training camp.  Today, we bring you some quotes from the legendary coach Tony Dungy, who stopped by the Colts' training camp to talk to Coach Pagano and Jim Irsay, on the request of the eccentric owner. Dungy was asked to come and give some...

Luck's teammates marvel at progress

Andrew Luck might not be impressing his teammates with his vocal chords off the field, but the Colts can't help but take notice of his preparation and ability to pick up a new offense so quickly. "The quarterbacks have been (playing) well," said rookie tight end Dwayne Allen. "All three of the guys get out there and they compete, they throw it around. We'...

Colts new coach fills in for missing assistant

New Colts coach Chuck Pagano got a reminder Friday of life as an assistant coach. Pagano filled in for safeties coach Roy Anderson, who left training camp because of a death in the family. Pagano did not say when Anderson would be back. Anderson is one of two coaches Pagano brought with him to Indianapolis from Baltimore, where Pagano spent four seasons as an assistant - the last...

Reggie Wayne Likes Leading Younger, Hungrier Colts Club

When Indianapolis Colts veteran receiver Reggie Wayne signed his contract extension earlier this offseason, he knew he was going to be a part of a team in transition after spending the majority of his career playing for a perennial playoff contender. Photo Credit: Colts.com However, the 6-0, 198-pound wide out isn’t too keen on his team being described as depleted. “Some people...

Luck learning quickly after first week at Colts camp

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will make his NFL debut in eight days against the St. Louis Rams at Lucas Oil Stadium, but that realization threw off the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft when reminded of it. "I didn't realize we had a game then, to be honest," Luck told the Indianapolis Star after Saturday's morning practice. "We'...

The Colts are Getting Chippy

There have probably been 2 fights in the last 7 training camps. There were 2 today. It's clear that this team is completely different from the old one. It was a hot muggy day in Indianapolis, with temperatures reaching a high of 97 degrees farenheit. Nobody likes that, and you would have to think that the players were a little more edgy. They were. The first fight happened...

Indianapolis Colts trade CB Kevin Thomas and a 7th round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for MLB Moise Fukou and MLB Greg Lloyd

Trade for Indianapolis: The Colts needed middle linebacker depth after losing AJ Edds to a torn ACL earlier  this week, so they acquired Greg Lloyd and Moise Fukou from the Eagles. However, neither of these guys ever play and the Colts had to give up Kevin Thomas, which depletes their depth at cornerback even more. Thomas wasn’t very good last season, but he was a 2010 3rd round...

Colts still having trouble selling tickets

AP Photo According to rTV6 in Indianapolis, the Colts are apparently still having trouble selling tickets for the upcoming season.  In an attempt to keep their sell-out streak alive, the Colts will begin selling single-game tickets next Tuesday. “You can’t affect the game from your couch,” said V.P. of  ticket sales Larry Hall.  ”Come to the game; it’s an exciting place...

Colts Make Big Trade with Eagles

The Colts have made a pretty big trade with the Eagles. The Colts have traded Kevin Thomas (CB) and a conditional 7th round pick (2013) to the Eagles for Moise Fokou (LB) and Greg Lloyd (DE). The Colts have finally cut ties with Kevin Thomas, the struggling cornerback. Thomas was drafted in 2010 in the 3rd round, but an injury forced him out his rookie season. Last season, he...

Eagles trade linebackers to Colts to get CB Thomas

The Philadelphia Eagles acquired cornerback Kevin Thomas and a conditional seventh-round draft pick in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts that sent linebackers Moise Fokou and Greg Lloyd to the Colts. Colts general manager Ryan Grigson had been the Eagles director of player personnel before being hired by Indianapolis in January, and this is the second trade he's made with...

Eagles trade LBs to Colts for Thomas

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded linebackers Moise Fokou and Greg Lloyd to the Indianapolis Colts for cornerback Kevin Thomas and a conditional seven-round pick in the 2013 draft. Thomas, a third-round pick in 2010, played in nine games last season with the Colts, starting five. He had 33 tackles and three knockdowns. Thomas spent his rookies season on injured reserve because...
