Earlier this year the coaching staff seemed to trust Delone Carter more than Don Brown. After a string of Carter fumbles Brown became the workhorse and it has impressed his teammates:
"The guy's playing great football right now," center Jeff Saturday said. "You can see when he goes in the huddle he wants the football. He wants his touches. As an offensive lineman, you like to see running backs who are confident, who know they can get yardage."
Said starter Joseph Addai: "I can't lie, I'm so happy for Don. I'm encouraging Donald that whenever he gets those chances, go out there and make the most of it."
