Colts restricted free agent cornerback Cassius Vaughn signed his qualifying offer Monday, according to a press release from the team. Vaughn appeared in all 16 games, starting 11 times, last season and had a career-high with 70 tackles, nine passes defensed and two fumble recoveries, while also returning an interception for a touchdown. He earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week 14 against Tennessee after making eight solo tackles, defending three passes and returning an interception three yards for a touchdown for the 21-20 lead. For his career, Vaughn has played in 38 games, including 14 starts, totaling 92 tackles, 13 passes defensed, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions returned for touchdowns.
