Colts restricted free agent cornerback Cassius Vaughn signed his qualifying offer Monday, according to a press release from the team.
Vaughn appeared in all 16 games, starting 11 times, last season and had a career-high with 70 tackles, nine passes defensed and two fumble recoveries, while also returning an interception for a touchdown.
He earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week 14 against Tennessee after making eight solo tackles, defending three passes and returning an interception three yards for a touchdown for the 21-20 lead.
For his career, Vaughn has played in 38 games, including 14 starts, totaling 92 tackles, 13 passes defensed, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions returned for touchdowns. On special teams, he has returned 19 kickoffs for 544 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown.
